Is there a diet that can be given during times of stress and breeding to calm a female in heat? We do not intend to breed.

Any female needs extra calcium during breeding season, regardless of whether or not she is going to breed. At about five years or so, they can start laying eggs, even if no male is around. Eggs can fed for extra calcium, you can even crush the shell up in it. You can also buy supplements. You can also supply your bird with cuttlebone or a mineral block. You should read about egg binding. Some females can’t pass the egg, when this happens they need immediate vet care or they can die.
